What factors affect the efficiency of vacuum pumps?

Many external factors can affect the efficiency of a machine, what are the specific ones? Now let me introduce it to you.

1. Steam pressure
Low steam pressure and pressure fluctuations have a significant impact on the ability of vacuum pumps, so steam pressure should not be lower than the required working pressure. However, the structural design of the vacuum pump used has been finalized, and increasing steam pressure too much will not increase the pumping volume and vacuum degree. In addition, to ensure the stable steam pressure supplied by the boiler, it is best to use a boiler specifically to provide working steam to the steam jet pump, so that the steam pressure will not fluctuate and ensure the stable performance of the vacuum pump.
2. Circulating cooling water
If the cooling water supply is insufficient, the condenser will heat up, the airflow sound will increase, the vacuum degree will rapidly decrease, and even steam will return to the exhaust pipe. Condensed water plays a crucial role in multi-stage vacuum pumps. Condensed water can fully condense steam, and the partial pressure of water vapor in the discharge pressure of the vacuum pump needs to be higher than its corresponding full steam pressure. Therefore, the temperature of condensed water must also be lower than the full temperature at that pressure to ensure the normal operation of the pump body.
3. Nozzles
The nozzle is an important component that affects the performance of vacuum pumps, and there are problems such as incorrect installation, misalignment, blockage, damage, corrosion, and leakage of the nozzle. No matter what preventive measures are taken, nozzle blockage is inevitable. On the one hand, during the installation of steam pipelines, residual iron filings and welding slag in the pipeline can clog the nozzle; On the other hand, when the vacuum pump system is shut down, the steam pipeline is prone to rust, and rust spots fall off and block the nozzle during use.
4. Usage environment
The environmental impact mainly refers to the pollution of the system caused by the extracted gas. In the process of steel liquid disposal, a lot of gas is released from the steel liquid, and some small particles such as fine oxide scale are also sucked into the vacuum pump. These small particles will accumulate and adhere to the pump body, reducing the flow conductivity of the extraction pipeline, prolonging the extraction time, and reducing the pumping function of the pump.
