What Should I Do If There Is Pumping Phenomenon in The Screw Vacuum Pump?

The screw vacuum pump can remove a large amount of water vapor and a small amount of dust, but after long-term use, the screw vacuum pump may experience air extraction, which greatly affects the normal operation of the equipment. It will prevent the screw vacuum pump from working properly.
1. The screw vacuum pump used for higher vacuum cannot be directly discharged into the atmosphere. If the atmosphere is directly discharged, it will cause a large pressure difference between the suction and exhaust ports of the screw vacuum pump, which will overload the vacuum pump. Therefore, in order to ensure that a higher vacuum can be reached, it is necessary to ensure a clear space between the rotors.
2. It is necessary to install a front stage pump during use, which can be used to suction the pressure in the system to a certain range before starting the screw vacuum pump. This can avoid overloading of the screw vacuum pump.
In addition, due to the continuous flipping and rotation of the rotor, the sucked gas is sucked into the space between the rotor and the pump casing from the intake port, and then discharged through the exhaust port. As the space is fully closed after suction, the gas in the pump chamber does not shrink or expand. However, when the top of the rotor rotates over the edge of the exhaust port and the space is connected to the exhaust side, due to the high pressure of the exhaust side gas, some gas rushes back into the space, causing a sudden increase in gas pressure. When the rotor continues to rotate, the gas will be discharged from the pump.
The phenomenon of suction in screw vacuum pumps is also related to regular maintenance work. Regular maintenance and timely discovery of problems can not only reduce the occurrence of equipment failures, but also improve the use of the equipment.

Daily maintenance work includes:
1. If conditions permit, clean the pipes to ensure they are unobstructed.
2. After reassembly, a trial run should be carried out, which usually requires an empty run of 2 hours and oil change twice. Due to the presence of a certain amount of volatile substances in the screw vacuum pump during cleaning, it can only be put into operation after normal operation.
3. Check for any looseness in the screw vacuum pump pipeline and joints. Rotate the vacuum pump by hand and see if it is flexible.
4. Regularly check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and replace it promptly if there is significant wear.
5. Start the motor, and when the screw vacuum pump is running normally, open the outlet pressure gauge and the inlet vacuum pump. After observing the appropriate pressure displayed, gradually open the gate valve and check the motor load condition.
6. When stopping the use of the screw vacuum pump, first close the gate valve and pressure gauge, and then stop the motor.
7. Check the oil level position. If it does not meet the requirements, adjust it to meet the requirements. The oil level should be at the center of the oil mark when the vacuum pump is running.
8. Check the oil quality of the vacuum pump. If the oil deteriorates, replace it with new oil in a timely manner to ensure the normal operation of the screw vacuum pump.
The above is the maintenance and upkeep of the screw vacuum pump, hoping to be helpful to everyone.
